Sometimes specially when studying historical periods we focus on the established curriculum without paying attention to other cultures or events linked to them that can be quite enriching if we include them in our lessons. One othe examples is the British History, we found this book of Black Cat publishers which is quite interesting for working the main chapters of the British History in a very easy and accesible way for students. I don't know if you know it but we use it a lot not only in Geography and History but also in Literacy we try to squeeze the texts to the maximum in both subjects.
